Samsung started rolling out the One UI 5.1.1 update to its older devices almost two weeks ago, starting with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Tab S8 series. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Tab S7 series only received this update not long ago. Now, the company has also rolled out One UI 5.1.1 for its older folding phone models Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.
Currently, Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 users can download the One UI 5.1.1 update in Europe and many other regions around the world, including Vietnam. Apart from new improvements and features, it also comes with the August 2023 patch that fixes many security vulnerabilities for Galaxy devices.
Besides multitasking improvements like better app previews on recent screens and the ability to switch from pop-up to split-screen view, One UI 5.1.1 also brings a number of new features. Exciting Samsung Health features like better sleep coaching as well as improved goals, rewards, and badges. There are also two-handed drag-and-drop gestures, layouts in the Samsung Internet app, and advanced memory management in Device Care.
One UI 5.1.1 isn't a major update, it mainly adds new features and improvements from the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 to older foldable phones and tablets. Samsung is expected to release One UI 6 based on Android 14 later this year. One UI 6's beta program is currently rolling out to the Galaxy S23 series.
