The most mid-range smartphone of 2020 has now received a major Android update complete with One UI 4.1.
Currently, the Android 12 update for the Galaxy A71 5G is only available in the UAE. The new firmware version has the software number A716BXXU6DVC2. The OTA rollout will be rolled out to other markets in the coming days. The update brings an Android security patch March 2022 and a lot of attractive features.
You may not know, Samsung has launched the Galaxy A71 5G with the name Galaxy A Quantum in its home country of Korea. That device is also currently receiving the Android 12 update. In addition, the 4G version of the Galaxy A71 has also received the latest Android OS update in some regions such as Hong Kong and Poland.
Samsung originally launched One UI 4.0 with the Android 12 update. But with the launch of the Galaxy S22 series last month, the company introduced One UI 4.1. Its newer builds of Android 12 now come with the latest version of the custom software. The Galaxy A71 5G also gets the full range of those features.
As for new features, Galaxy A71 users have a lot to look forward to like some UI changes. To implement those changes, Samsung has also included a dynamic theme feature that allows you to extract colors from your wallpaper and apply them to system UI elements. This gives a sense of consistency to your user experience.
There are several new camera features and changes to the user interface in the camera app. The gallery app also gets new editing features like video cropping, lighting control, and photo blending. Samsung's native apps like AR Emoji, Samsung Health, Samsung Internet, Bixby Routines, and Calendar are also getting some changes.
