Samsung has just launched a new watch face for Galaxy Watch owners who want to know the time on other planets in the Solar System. I was really surprised by this move by Samsung. The company collaborated with the European Space Agency (ESA) to create the new watch faces.
The Galaxy Time watch face has arrived on the Galaxy Watch line, allowing you to see the real-time of any planet in the Solar System
With the new Galaxy watch face, you can keep track of the time of other planets in the Solar System. The time it takes them to rotate around their axis and the Sun is different from the Earth. Therefore, they have different day lengths and years. With this new watch face, you can keep track of time on Earth and other planets in the Solar System. Although I don't think many people will take advantage of this watch face, this is still a nice and useful feature.
Samsung has announced that the new watch face is called Galaxy Time. The data displayed to the user is very accurate because ESA is the data provider. Galaxy Time can display time information for any planet in the Solar System. More specifically, you can check the time on Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
Each planet will have a unique clock face, which displays information about how much faster or slower the time on that planet is compared to Earth's 24-hour system. In addition, Galaxy Time also provides data on the distance from the planet to the Earth or Sun, the number of satellites as well as the seasons. Not stopping there, information about the exact position of that planet in the Solar System is also displayed.
The good news is that the new watch face is compatible with all Galaxy Watch products running Wear OS. More specifically, you can use Galaxy Time on the Galaxy Watch 4 series onwards. If you want to try this watch face, you can download it now from the Google Play Store.
