Recently, Samsung released the April 2024 security update for the Galaxy S22 series instead of the One UI 6.1 version that many people were expecting. The same thing happened on the Galaxy S21 a few days ago.

The April update for the Galaxy S22 series has been released in the US. It is available for select carrier-locked phones, including devices on T-Mobile, and comes with firmware versions S901USQS4DXD2, S906USQS4DXD2, and S908USQS4DXD2 for the three variants S22, S22+, and S22 respectively. Ultra.

One UI 6.1 is expected to be released for the Galaxy S22 and several other older flagship phones later this month. However, Samsung has not yet made any official confirmation. But if the company decides to bring Galaxy AI features to the Galaxy S22 series, users may have to wait until May for this version.

If you own one of the three variants of the Galaxy S22, check and download the update by going to the Settings app > Software Update > Download and install.
