Samsung is starting to release One UI 6.1 for nine premium Galaxy devices, bringing many features and improvements to improve user experience. Many owners of certain high-end Galaxy devices have been able to explore the new features that Galaxy AI brings. During this process, they discovered that the Good Lock app had many issues on One UI 6.1.
According to feedback from many people, the Good Lock development team has compiled a list of problems that users are facing after upgrading to One UI 6.1.
NavStar
Those who enabled transparent hints in Navistar are facing unresponsive keys on the screen introducing new AI features. The reason is that the new navigation bar conflicts with NavStar settings.
Samsung is aware of this issue and will release a fix soon. Those who have not yet upgraded to One UI 6.1 should update NavStar first to avoid this problem.
Always-On Display (AOD) changes
One UI 6.1 has updated AOD animations and structures:
- The clock on AOD is similar to the clock on the lock screen and cannot be customized separately.
- The AOD-specific brightness bar has been removed.
For those who prefer different lock screens and AODs, Samsung will provide a solution through the upcoming new versions of Always-On Display (v8.7.99.11) and LockStar (v6.1.0.11).
External display on the Galaxy Z Flip series
A new bug prevents the Good Lock app from launching on the outer screen of the Galaxy Z Flip series using the side key. This issue arises from a recent modification to how Secure Folder is accessed from an external display. This bug will be resolved in an upcoming update.
Issues related to Samsung Keyboard
With improved voice input, a new key has been introduced on the virtual keyboard to make voice input easier for users. However, some users report this key is not displayed, instead there is a blank space. Samsung is actively researching how to resolve this error.
To fix the above error temporarily, disable the Keyboard Keys option on the navigation bar after navigating to Settings โ General Management โ Keyboard list and defaults.
Samsung apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the above issues and is working hard to provide patches to users. Currently, the company has released new versions for NavStar and Always-On Display to fix some of the mentioned issues.
