A new rumor has emerged claiming that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could have advanced facial scanning capabilities similar to the Face ID technology that appears on Apple's iPhones.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to have advanced face-scanning capabilities
A new rumor comes from @Sawyergalox. You should not rely too much on this information. He just shared a tweet from @RyouHaizaki, which claimed this technology would appear on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
@Sawyergalox denied the above information, saying it "couldn't" happen. However, he added that “it will be in the Galaxy S26 Ultra” in a rather confident tone.
The reporter added that “Samsung is gradually innovating to imitate Apple.” He also stated that Samsung is looking to save money, which he also sees as quite similar to Apple.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra definitely won't have facial scanning capabilities like Face ID
It is still unknown whether the above rumor is accurate or not, anyway, it is still a long time until the Galaxy S26 Ultra is released. However, it is certain that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will not have advanced face-scanning capabilities. There have been a lot of rumors and leaks about the device, and none of the previous ones have mentioned the same. Instead, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will continue to only have a small hole in the screen to leave room for the camera.
As expected, the Galaxy S25 series will be launched by Samsung in early 2025. If nothing changes compared to before, they will be launched in January. As usual, the new Galaxy S line will continue to have three products.
However, Samsung's current focus is on the second Unpacked event in 2024, which could happen on July 10. Here, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be announced along with the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Ring series.
