YouTube Vanced is a familiar application for smartphone users.
The popular YouTube Vanced app will be discontinued following a legal threat from Google. As YouTube developer Vanced posted on Twitter: βVanced has been discontinued. In the coming days, the download links on the website will be taken down. We know this is not what you want to hear but it is what we need to do. Thank you all for your recent support.β
Recently, Google sent Youtube Vanced managers a request to stop providing the service, forcing developers to stop distributing and developing applications. "We have been asked to remove all 'YouTube' related content, change the logo and remove all links related to YouTube products," an admin from the Vanced team said.
Vanced is a popular third-party YouTube app for Android, especially since it allows YouTube users to block all YouTube video ads without a Premium subscription. Vanced also has features that you don't get on the official YouTube Android app.
Youtube Vanced developer also added: "The current version will still work, until it becomes obsolete after about 2 years". But it is not clear if Google will take measures to prevent it in the near future, and Youtube Vanced developer also advises users to subscribe to Youtube Premium to use when Vanced stops working.
