A few days ago, a major software update for Galaxy smartwatches was released to fix some bugs on the device as well as improve integration with Samsung TVs. However, after the update, the Galaxy Watch 6 series encountered some problems related to the touch screen. The company is currently rolling out a new update to fix this problem.
Galaxy Watch 6 receives a new update to fix touchscreen issues
Currently, the update is only available in Korea and will soon reach other countries in the coming days. It comes with firmware R930XXU1AXC2, the download size is 136.34 MB, and will likely vary across Galaxy Watch 6 Classic models. In addition to system stability improvements, the update also fixes touchscreen issues that prevent the watch from waking when touched.
If you own a Galaxy Watch 6 series watch in Korea, you can check for and install the update by opening the Wearable app > Watch settings > Software update > Download and install put. However, it will not come with the April 2024 security patch.
The Galaxy Watch 6 series was launched last year with One UI 5.0 based on Wear OS 5. It is expected to receive One UI 6.0 based on Wear OS 6 later this year.
