One UI 6.1 is the latest software update announced with the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year. Older Galaxy devices eligible to receive Galaxy AI features in the new UI update are flagship models launched in 2023.

When Samsung announced the One UI 6.1 update for its 2023 premium smartphones, the company noted that some Galaxy AI features from the Galaxy S24 โ€œmay not be available in previous generations.โ€ However, it seems that this annotation does not apply to the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5.

A screenshot shared by the Ice Universe account lists the AI features found in the Advanced Intelligence menu of the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Notably, it has all the features that the Galaxy S24 has. Samsung also added a Circle to Search description to let users know the feature exists (the Circle to Search feature on the Galaxy S24 is also not listed with other features in the Advanced Intelligence menu).

The Galaxy S23 FE might be the only device that doesn't get all the AI features of the Galaxy S24. Despite launching in 2023, it has the same Exynos and Snapdragon chip as the Galaxy S22 series instead of the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip that powers the non-FE Galaxy S23 models, Fold 5, Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9.

The One UI 6.1 update will begin rolling out later this month to 2023 premium smartphones and tablets. However, the rollout will extend into April to reach all devices. available in most markets. Besides that, Samsung will likely release One UI 6.1 to other eligible devices starting next April, although this has not been confirmed.
