Many customers who pre-ordered the Galaxy S24 series and received the product before the official release date – January 31 – took to Reddit and other online forums to voice their concerns about the screen error. Fortunately, based on conversations with Samsung, the company seems to be aware of the problem and is working to fix it.

Complaints regarding Vivid mode. When this mode is activated, the screen produces pale colors, not as vibrant as on previous Galaxy S series phones.

It is true that the screen of the Galaxy S24 series is very advanced. However, there seems to be no difference between Natural and Vivid modes. Currently, there is no way to fix this error. Fortunately, Samsung will roll out an update to fix the error related to Vivid mode.

Samsung will make the Galaxy S24 series screen look more vibrant

A screenshot of a conversation with Samsung support by a Galaxy S24 series user has surfaced online. Accordingly, Samsung seems to be aware of the screen problem of the Galaxy S24 series and will soon release a patch.

“Don't worry, our Samsung developer team is currently working [...] to fix this issue on your device. Rest assured that this upcoming software update will fix our issue on our Samsung [Galaxy] S24.”

Samsung's new Galaxy S24 series ships with One UI 6.1 and the January 2024 security patch. It's unclear when the patch will be released. We hope Samsung will completely resolve the display-related issues with the upcoming February 2024 security patch.

Until Samsung fixes the Vivid mode, there's a lot more you can enjoy on the new Galaxy S24 series, from high screen brightness, artificial AI features, a new camera system, sound quality Better bars, and more.
