Versatile Search zoning is one of Galaxy AI's most heavily promoted features. This seems to be the right strategy because according to a recent study, many users of the Galaxy S24 series said they chose the product because they wanted to use the versatile Search Area.
Versatile Search has been available on more devices since its introduction, including the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series of 2023. This feature works very well and seems to have become more popular than Google. Lenses though both have the same core technology.
With Universal Search Field now coming to more devices, including S Pen-enabled tablet models, we hope Samsung will provide more ways to enable this feature.
Samsung should add the ability to summon the versatile Search Area with Air Command or the S Pen button
Now that the versatile Search Circle is available on S Pen-enabled phones and tablets, we feel this feature should be more easily accessible for S Pen users. Now, they can press and hold the gesture cue with the S Pen to summon the multi-function Search Area. However, this action is not very convenient.
Perhaps a better alternative is to add the general-purpose Search Field shortcut to the Air Commands panel. Additionally, it would be great if we could summon the multi-function Search Zone by pressing the S Pen button.
It's unclear whether Samsung will continue to provide us with more ways to summon the versatile Search Area. Either way, we hope S Pen users will have more options. For now, it seems Samsung is busy bringing Galaxy AI to more devices, including 2022's Galaxy S and Galaxy Z lines, which is good news.
