Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 owners have had to wait a long time for the One UI 6.0 update. Their patience was finally rewarded.

Samsung is actively bringing One UI 6.0 to eligible Galaxy devices. Over the past week, the update has landed on foldable phone models launched before 2023.

We reported the other day that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 have been upgraded to One UI 6.0 (based on Android 14) in the US. Soon after, the update arrived on Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Devices locked to carriers in the United States will be installed first

Verizon, T-Mobile, and MetroPCS carrier-locked variants get the update first. Samsung will soon bring the update to devices that are not carrier-locked and those using the beta version of One UI 6.0.

Since this is a large update, it is up to 3 GB in size. So you might want to make sure you're on Wi-Fi before hitting the Download key. To download One UI 6.0 for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, simply open the Settings app on the device, select Software Update then tap Download and Install.

Next is One UI 6.1 for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4

Android 14 (One UI 6.0) is the second of four OS upgrades that the Galaxy Fold 4 and Galaxy Flip 4 received. Next is One UI 6.1, which will be announced alongside the Galaxy S24 series next month and is being tested internally by Samsung on the Galaxy S23 series. As expected, One UI 6.1 will have more AI features and will land on many Galaxy device models.

2022 Galaxy foldable phone models may get One UI 6.1 in February. However, this is an optimistic prediction, especially when considering the time it took Samsung to bring One UI 6.0 to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.
