Samsung is giving its user interface a makeover with the One UI 7.0 (Android 15) update, which includes a redesign of the Camera app. Ahead of the official release of the update, the company announced a few other changes related to the app.

AR Zone, Deco Pic, and Quick Measure will become standalone apps on One UI 7

Currently, features like AR Doodle, AR Emoji Camera, AR Emoji Studio, AR Emoji Stickers, Deco Pic, and Quick Measure are all accessible via the AR Zone section in the default Camera app on One UI 6.1.1 and earlier versions. However, with One UI 7.0, Samsung will move AR Zone, Deco Pic, and Quick Measure into standalone apps.

This is announced through the AR Doodle, AR Zone, Deco Pic, and Quick Measure add-ons in the Camera app. Samsung also announced that AR Emoji will be renamed to Galaxy Avatar on One UI 7.0.

Users will be able to download AR Zone, AR Doodle, Deco Pic, and Quick Measure apps from the Galaxy Store. Samsung has apologized in advance if this change causes any inconvenience to users.

Samsung is likely to continue changing other native apps in the upcoming One UI version, which is expected to officially roll out to users early next year. The Galaxy S24 will likely be the first device to receive this update.
