The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to get a major upgrade in its camera system. While the device will continue to have four rear cameras, the telephoto and ultra-wide cameras may get upgraded sensors. Today, the specs of the Galaxy S25 Ultra's ultra-wide camera have been leaked.

Galaxy S25 Ultra's ultra-wide camera will use a 50MP sensor

According to reliable tipster @UniverseIce, the Galaxy S25 Ultra's ultra-wide camera will get a major upgrade. Accordingly, Samsung will use a 50MP sensor with a 1/2.52" sensor size and a 0.7ยตm pixel size along with an ฦ’/1.9 aperture lens. The specs look extremely similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra's 5x telephoto camera. However, it is still unclear whether they will share the same sensor.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra's ultra-wide camera will use autofocus to focus close-up for close-up shots. In addition, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra's 5x telephoto camera, you can also shoot 4K@60 or 8K@30 videos with the Galaxy S25 Ultra's ultra-wide camera.

Previous reports claimed that Samsung will also upgrade the Galaxy S25 Ultra's telephoto camera. Accordingly, the 3x telephoto camera will have a resolution of 50MP and optical image stabilization. With such a strong upgrade, the Galaxy S25 Ultra's camera system will certainly be good enough for the next few years.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to continue to have the same 200MP main camera as its predecessor. Other improvements include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, up to 16GB of memory, and a less square design (for increased comfort). Finally, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will likely get a bunch of new Galaxy AI features with One UI 7.1.
