Samsung has just released the December 2024 security update for the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra models in the US market. The update is currently only available for some carrier-locked devices, while the Galaxy S21 FE is still waiting to receive a new patch.

This update carries the version number G99xUSQSEGXK3 and focuses on enhancing system security. Samsung's December 2024 security patch fixes critical security vulnerabilities, including high-risk bugs on Android and eight unique security issues that only affect Galaxy devices. In addition, vulnerabilities related to the Exynos 2100 chip on the Galaxy S21 series have also been thoroughly addressed.

Samsung has not yet announced details of other changes in this update, but users can rest assured that their devices will be safer and more stable after the upgrade. To check for and install the update, just go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
