Samsung is preparing to upgrade its chargers up to 140W in the future
Samsung's fast charging speeds are limited to 45W on the highest-end smartphones. However, most Galaxy devices only feature up to 25W charging, which cannot be considered fast enough. Well, future Samsung phones could support fast charging up to 65W, while laptops up to 140W.
It's worth mentioning that Samsung is still behind its Chinese competitors in terms of fast charging support. However, evidence shows that Samsung plans to upgrade fast charging support speeds, up to 65W on phones and 140W on laptops.
Tipster @Tech_Reve revealed that Atum, Samsung's transformer supplier, has added 65W and 140W chargers to its product portfolio. Since there is no official confirmation, these will most likely be for Galaxy devices like phones and laptops.
This information becomes even more relevant as there have been rumors that the Korean tech giant is working on a 65W charger. Remember that maximum charging support is currently limited to 45W on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Galaxy S24?
No, this preparation can be applied on future smartphones, it cannot be on the Galaxy S24 series. Furthermore, it should be noted that Samsung also has laptops in its Galaxy product portfolio and the 140W charger can be used for this line of devices but not for smartphones.
