The end of the year is usually a busy time for Samsung in rolling out software updates. The company has launched One UI 6.0 for many Galaxy devices while continuing to develop new software for high-end phone models that will launch early next year.
If nothing changes, One UI 6.1 will be released with the Galaxy S24 series in more than a month, expected on January 17, 2024. After these products have reached users, the update will also be available for older Galaxy devices. It is reported that Samsung has started developing One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S23 series.
A software update for the Galaxy S23 Ultra with the code name was recently found on Samsung's servers. This is the next important update after One UI 6.0 for this year's Galaxy S flagship line. One UI 6.1 is expected to have many AI features, but not all features on the Galaxy S24 will be available for older devices. Therefore, it is unclear what AI features will be available to Galaxy S23 users.
After the Galaxy S24 hits shelves, the Galaxy S23 is expected to be the first product to receive One UI 6.1. Samsung will likely test the software internally before officially launching it, instead of implementing a Beta program like with One UI 6.0.
