Samsung has released One UI 6.1.1 for several high-end Galaxy phones, including the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S23, and Galaxy S24 series. The update has also landed on the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Despite adding a number of useful new features, One UI 6.1.1 removed the ability to create animations. Fortunately, Samsung has just announced that it will soon bring back the feature.

Animations will soon return to Galaxy devices

After the Animation option was removed from Smart Select on Galaxy devices with the One UI 6.1.1 update, many people expressed their disappointment with Samsung's move.

After listening to user feedback, Samsung's official forum moderators revealed that the company is planning to revive the feature with an update in the near future, possibly in late September or early October this year.

It is clear that Samsung is trying to change the interface to prioritize the display of Galaxy AI features. Therefore, the company decided to remove the ability to create animations. Samsung tried to make this feature easier to access. However, the company was unable to complete it before the scheduled deadline. Therefore, this feature was removed with One UI 6.1.1.

Since Samsung has changed the interface of Smart Select quite a lot, it is difficult to keep the ability to create animations. Hopefully, in addition to reviving this feature, the company has also succeeded in improving the accessibility of the animation feature.

After releasing One UI 6.1.1, Samsung has focused on developing One UI 7.0. The One UI 7 Beta Program is expected to start later this month or early next month with the Galaxy S24 series first. The program may be held in China, Germany, India, Poland, Korea, the UK, and the US.
