Samsung seems to be completely focused on AI for mobile devices, TVs, and other consumer products, including the Bespoke line. Galaxy AI – first appearing on the Galaxy S24 series running One UI 6.1 – seems to have achieved a lot of success, or at least attracted a lot of interest and attention from public opinion. However, this is just the beginning.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 folding screen phones may push AI technology even further. As expected, One UI 6.1.1 will be released with new AI features. Nothing is certain yet. However, a new rumor may help us understand Samsung's tactics better.
Samsung will focus on AI video features later this year
According to @UniverseIce, one of the major AI-related improvements that Samsung will release through One UI 6.1.1 involves video. However, it is still unclear how they will be deployed.
Galaxy AI now uses artificial intelligence for Instant Slow Motion, which allows users to easily slow down videos in the Gallery app.
In theory, the most ambitious approach would be similar to Sora. This is an AI model developed by AI to create videos according to user suggestions. If the rumors are correct and One UI 6.1.1 has a strong focus on video AI, it remains to be seen how Samsung implements it to know whether the new feature will enhance the user experience or not.
As expected, One UI 6.1.1 will run on the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. These two folding-screen phones will be launched at the Unpacked event in early July.
Earlier today, Samsung and Google hinted at exciting new AI features and experiences the two companies are working on in a "partnership that has never been stronger."
