Samsung added the ability to synchronize vibration patterns with notification sounds with the One UI 6.0 update.

With One UI 6 based on Android 14, Samsung has introduced many new improvements to the Galaxy S23 series. Including the ability to synchronize the notification vibration pattern with the notification sound. This option is not available on Galaxy phones running One UI 5.1.1 except for the Galaxy S22 series (which may have been added with the August 2023 update).

One UI 6 allows users to choose a new notification vibration pattern. When โ€œSync with notification soundโ€ is selected, the phone will attempt to synchronize the vibration pattern with the notification sound. Previously, options were limited to Off, Short, Medium, Basic, Heartbeat, Ticktock, Waltz, and Zig-Zig-Zig.

The new option works well with built-in notification sounds. However, I haven't had a chance to test this new feature with custom notification sounds.

Although Samsung released the changelog of One UI 6.0 when it released the first beta for the Galaxy S23 series, there are some minor changes that are not listed. Since the One UI 6 beta was launched, we've discovered many new features hidden in One UI 6, including the ability to share screens with Google Cast devices via Smart View.

The One UI 6.0 Beta program is currently available in Europe, Korea, and the United States. As expected, more countries will join the list when Samsung releases the second beta of One UI 6.0. The company may continue to add more features in the coming weeks.
