After announcing the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Buds FE, and Galaxy Tab S9 FE series yesterday, Samsung recently launched a new product called Galaxy SmartTag 2. This smart device helps find lost items.
It's been quite a while since the first generation launched in 2021, Samsung has just released the next version of the Galaxy SmartTag series. Unlike its predecessors that had both Bluetooth and ultra-wideband (UWB) versions, the Galaxy SmartTag 2 will combine it all in one. However, there is a limitation: it only works with Samsung smartphones.
Galaxy SmartTag 2 has a completely new design with a ring-shaped bracelet, instead of just a small hole like before. The inside of the bracelet is made of metal to increase durability. This makes it easier to use with more accessories such as clips, keychains, bags, or luggage. It's also IP67 dust and water-resistant so users can do things like track pets outdoors.
Samsung's new tracker also has a longer battery life, with 700 days in power-saving mode or 500 days in normal mode, 50% more than previous models. It has a new feature called Lost Mode, which allows users to enter contact information via text message. Anyone who finds an object with SmartTag 2 attached can use their phone to scan and view messages and contact information of the owner.
Galaxy SmartTag 2 will be sold worldwide from October 11 for 30 USD (about 732 thousand VND) with color options of Black and White.
