Through images and full specifications, we can see that the Galaxy Tab Active 5 will be designed with an 8-inch LCD screen, surrounded by thick bezels to help protect the device. The touch screen has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 with outstanding durability, enhancing the product's resistance. The device will have three physical buttons, meet IP68 water and dust resistance standards, and is designed according to US military durability standards MIL-STD-810H, suitable for military and industrial use. Galaxy Tab Active 5 will be equipped with an S Pen that also supports water and dust resistance with IP68 standards. It measures 126.8mm x 213.8mm x 10.1mm and weighs 433g.
Similar to Samsung's other durable smartphones and tablets, with the Galaxy Tab Active 5, users can also replace the battery with a capacity of 5,050mAh. The device will support several connectivity features such as GPS, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type C port, and a headphone jack. The product also integrates a fingerprint sensor into the Home button and comes with an Active Key on one of its edges. It is known that the device's shock resistance can reach a height of 1.2 meters thanks to the included protective case.
In terms of performance, Galaxy Tab Active 5 will use an Exynos 1380 chip with up to 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal memory that can be expanded via a microSD card slot (up to 1TB). The product is expected to have Android 12 operating system pre-installed when launched. The front of the tablet will have a camera with a 5MP resolution. The rear camera has a 13MP resolution that supports autofocus, F1.9 aperture, and 4K 30fps video recording ability.
Galaxy Tab Active 5 is expected to launch in the next few months. However, there is a high possibility that the product will only be released in a limited number of markets.
