Samsung is strongly reviewing plans to use Exynos and Snapdragon chipsets for the upcoming Galaxy S24 Series
Samsung is strongly considering plans to use the high-speed Exynos 2400 chipset on the Galaxy S24 series in global markets including Europe and Korea. However, there will still be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 equipped on the S24 Series in some markets.
Previously, there were many views that it was too early to bring the Exynos 2400 back to the Galaxy S series. However, the situation was reversed when the Exynos 2400's performance benchmarks were leaked during the development stage and were excellent.
According to the report, Exynos 2400 is equipped with Deca core architecture (10 CPU cores). Besides, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 seems to bring an octa-core type with 8 CPU cores.
In addition, the Exynos 2400's GPU is expected to be equipped with Eclipse 940, helping the processing speed more than double compared to the previous collaboration with AMD.
Samsung Foundry's support was also a factor in the revival of Exynos. Exynos 2400 is manufactured on Samsung Foundry's 4nm process. It is known that 4nm efficiency has recently been significantly improved to 75%.
The S23 series launched this year has the entire Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy chipset globally. The return of Exynos is expected to help reduce Samsung's AP purchasing costs while also helping the price competitiveness of the Galaxy S24.
