Samsung released information about the June 2024 security patch for Galaxy phones and tablets this week. Additionally, the list of devices eligible for security updates has also been revised.

From this month onwards, Samsung will no longer release security patches for Galaxy A51 5G, Galaxy A41 and Galaxy M01. All three products were launched in the first half of 2020. Therefore, they have received regular security updates for four years.

The Galaxy A51 5G has been updated to the Android operating system three times (the product shipped with Android 10 and can now run Android 13). Meanwhile, Galaxy A41 and Galaxy M01 were updated with the Android operating system twice (from Android 10 to Android 11 and Android 12).

Even though they are no longer eligible for security updates, they may still receive a few more security patches if serious vulnerabilities are discovered in older Galaxy devices. Even so, this is not a frequent occurrence.
