Following the announcement, Samsung has now officially released One UI 5.1.1 for the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra.

The One UI 5.1.1 update is now available to Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra users in European countries with codenames X706BXXU5BWH6, X806BXXU5BWH6 and X906BXXU5BWH6. It comes with the July 2023 security patch and is expected to be released more widely in the next few days.

Some of One UI 5.1.1's features include two-handed file drag and drop, the ability to hide pop-ups on one of the sides, and quick switching between pop-up and multiplayer views windows for supported applications. It also improves the taskbar, which can now show up to four recently used apps on the right.

Other improvements include sharing files via Quick Share with different Wi-Fi networks. Private Sharing now allows you to set an expiration time for each file. In Photo Editor, Samsung has replaced the adjustment sliders with dials that are easier to use with one hand. Modes can now change from the lock screen and add more fonts for the lock screen clock widget.

You can check for updates by going to Settings > Software update > Downloads and updates. Besides the Galaxy Tab S8 series, Samsung will also be releasing One UI 5.1.1 soon for many older foldable Galaxy phones including Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and some other Galaxy Tab models.
