Currently, AI is a new trend in the technology world. More and more companies are joining the race. Samsung has really excelled in optimizing the Exynos 2400 for the Galaxy AI feature set. However, it is clear that the company will not stop here. A new rumor has emerged, saying the Exynos 2500 may use a tensor processing unit (TPU) to accelerate AI processing. If so, there will be many AI-related improvements appearing on the Galaxy S25 series.

The Exynos 2500 could be Samsung's trump card if used properly

For those who don't know, the tensor processing unit (TPU) first appeared with the Pixel 6 series in 2021. Since then, Google has improved it a lot. The tensor processors are produced in cooperation with Samsung. So, the company has experience with this technology and will likely use it effectively for the Exynos 2500.

If Samsung indeed chooses this route and equips the Exynos 2500 with Google's TPU, the Galaxy S25 series will be capable of running even more AI models on the device. Even though Galaxy AI is powerful, most of the features are still handled in the cloud. However, with a dedicated TPU, the device's ability to handle AI tasks will improve.

The source also suggests that the Exynos 2500 will have two neural processing units: G-NP and S-NPU. This processor will be launched with the Galaxy S25 series. Therefore, if you are looking forward to a phone that can effectively handle many AI tasks, you may want to wait until the Galaxy S25 series is released.

Exynos 2500 is currently being tested internally. Considering how extremely serious Samsung is about processor development, I really hope they achieve their goals.
