It's been over three months since the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra launched with One UI 6.0 Watch. However, Samsung has yet to release the stable version of One UI 6.0 Watch for older Galaxy Watch models. Fortunately, it looks like the Galaxy Watch 6 series will get One UI 6.0 Watch soon.
Galaxy Watch 6 series may get One UI 6.0 Watch in the next two weeks
Two weeks ago, Samsung ended the One UI Watch Beta Program and released the stable version for Galaxy Watch 6 series owners who participated in the program. Now, it looks like the company is almost ready to release the stable version for other users.
A report claims that One UI 6.0 Watch will be released for the Galaxy Watch 6 series on November 12 in Canada.
After the Galaxy Watch 6 series gets the One UI 6.0 Watch update, Samsung could shift its focus to the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 4 series.
What's new in One UI 6.0 Watch?
One UI 6.0 Watch is based on Wear OS 5 and brings a ton of new features. Based on your mental and physical state, the new software can provide a daily Energy Score to let you know if you're ready to complete your daily fitness goals.
In addition, One UI 6.0 Watch can also measure sleep more accurately and in detail, as well as analyze sleep quality with AI. You can also create custom workouts.
The new software introduces a brand new two-finger pinch gesture to quickly turn off alarms, mute notifications, control music, and more.
You can quickly scroll through notifications and tiles by swiping the screen left or right. You can tap the bottom of the screen to see ongoing activities, such as stopwatches and workouts.
You can change notification settings directly on the Galaxy Watch instead of relying on your phone. One UI 6.0 Watch also gives you more control through Modes and Schedules.
New controls include Do Not Disturb, Always-On Display, Raise Wrist to Wake, Rotate to Wake Switch, Tap Screen to Wake, Sound Mode, and Disconnection Alert.
You can save your favorite emojis for quick access later. Images you receive from messages can be saved to Gallery on the Galaxy Watch. Those images can be shared with others or used to create a watch face.
One UI 6.0 Watch also has a new default font. When you play music, the Galaxy Watch will automatically connect to your paired Galaxy Buds (or other wireless headphones) or Bluetooth speaker.
When battery saver mode is enabled, you can limit health tracking features to extend battery life even further.
