As Samsung gears up for its new SDC24 event in its home country of South Korea on November 21, the One UI 7.0 beta seems to be ready for release. With many leaks and rumors about the changes and new features, One UI 7.0 also brings updated stock app icons.
Samsung seems to be looking to upgrade the user experience with the upcoming One UI 7.0 update. Recent reports have revealed changes to stock app icons, including Phone, Messages, Samsung Internet, Your Files, Gallery, Calculator, Samsung Cloud, Contacts, Settings, Camera, Clock, and Radio.
One UI 7.0 Changes Many Stock App Icons
Samsung hasnโt changed the Galaxy Store icon for a long time. However, that will end with One UI 7.0. Leaks suggest that the Galaxy Store will get a new app icon that looks a lot more interesting than before.
Phone
With One UI 7, the Phone app icon is a much brighter green with a slightly redesigned handset icon compared to before.
Messages
The new message bubble icon is a square with rounded corners. In comparison, the old message bubble icon was an ellipse.
Samsung Internet
The Samsung Internet app icon has not been changed for a long time. However, with the new One UI 7, the icon has finally been redesigned with a white circle with a light blue ring inside a dark blue square with rounded corners.
Your Files
Compared to the Your Files app icon from One UI 6, the newer icon on One UI 7 has a gradient design with a few minor changes to the shape of the folders inside.
Gallery
The new Gallery app icon looks much more colorful than before, no longer monotonous and boring.
Calculator
The Calculator app in One UI 6 is a deep green with plus, minus, multiplication, and division. Meanwhile, One UI 7 will have a new, more interesting Calculator app icon, with a deep rounded square containing two black circles containing plus and minus signs, while the equals sign is inside a green pill shape.
Samsung Cloud
With One UI 7, the Samsung Cloud icon looks much cleaner and more refined. The sync icon has been removed and the cloud shape has been changed.
Contacts
The app has been changed drastically. With One UI 7, inside the deep orange square is a darker orange circle containing an icon representing your avatar. The result is a more interesting icon than the old icon that One UI 6 had.
