All about Smart Summary on One UI 7.0 and Galaxy S25

While we were able to experience most of what’s new in One UI 7.0 on the Galaxy S24 series through the One UI Beta Program, Samsung didn’t reveal all the new features during the testing phase. The company saved some features for the stable version of One UI 7.0, which will soon hit the market with the Galaxy S25 series.

Smart Briefing is one of the secret weapons that Samsung didn’t reveal during the One UI Beta Program. This AI feature essentially completes what Samsung Free failed to do.

Smart Briefing can be described as a content aggregator, but that alone would be an injustice to the feature since Samsung’s previous content aggregators have been terrible. Besides, Smart Briefing has another purpose.

Smart Briefing focuses more on the user’s schedule and activities than providing information from the outside world to the user.

One UI 7.0’s Smart Briefing provides personalized information based on the following categories:

  • Health
  • Travel
  • Events & Tasks
  • Phone Settings
  • Memories
  • News
  • Music & Podcasts
  • Smart Home

The Smart Briefing UI fits in with the modern design of One UI 7. It doesn’t stop there, the content delivered to users depends on the time of day.

Think of Smart Briefing as a virtual assistant that doesn’t require you to ask questions. It automatically collects and delivers information related to health, travel, events, and more to you through an intuitive user interface.

Smart Briefing is… smart and has the potential to change the way you interact with your phone. Additionally, Samsung says the Personal Data Engine – your personal information repository – is protected by Knox Vault and post-quantum encryption on the Galaxy S25 series. Smart Summary data is not stored in the cloud.
