Samsung has released a new software update for a premium Galaxy tablet for 2023: the Galaxy Tab S9. The update includes the December 2024 security patch to fix a number of security issues.
Samsung has released the update for the Wi-Fi-only variant of the Galaxy Tab S9 – which has the model number SM-X710 – in South Korea. The company will soon roll out the update to other countries and variants of the Galaxy Tab S9.
The new baseband version is X710XXU5BXL6, at least in South Korea. You can update your device manually by navigating to Settings → Software update → Download and install.
The Galaxy Tab S9 is eligible for One UI 7.0 based on Android 15. The software brings a number of new features and could be released after the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event – where Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S25 series.
