One UI is one of the most customizable Android interfaces available today. However, it lacks some features that Galaxy smartphone and tablet users have been asking for for a long time. One of them includes a vertical app drawer option, which may appear on future devices.
One UI 7.0 may bring a vertical app drawer option
Good Lock representatives have revealed information about the next version of One UI that will bring a vertical option in the app drawer, something many users are looking forward to.
Since the default app launcher in One UI doesn't feature vertical stacks, it's offered as an option through Good Lock's Home Up module. This allows users to use that feature to change the way the app drawer is arranged. However, it was removed recently and we now know the reason for this issue. Since One UI 7.0 will bring the option of vertical stacks, Home Up no longer has that feature. But that also causes some hurdles for those using Galaxy phones and tablets whose last update was One UI 6.0.
The first beta of Android 15 was recently released by Google. Other versions will also be launched before Google I/O 2024 in May. A few weeks or months later, Samsung may open the One UI 7.0 Beta Program for Galaxy S24 and other high-end phones. It will officially release in the fourth quarter of this year.
