Samsung is rolling out a software update for its latest line of high-end phones. The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra started receiving the May 2024 security update earlier today.
Samsung is taking longer than usual to release new security updates to eligible devices. The reason may be that the company is busy with One UI 6.1. The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra are the first Galaxy models to receive the May security update. More Galaxy products will also be available in the coming weeks.
The latest update for the Galaxy S24 series has arrived in the US at the time of this writing, with T-Mobile appearing to be the first mobile carrier to roll out the update to customers. Some people have complained that the previous update negatively affected battery life. The new update doesn't seem to bring any improvements or new features other than the latest security patches.
It won't be long before the May update for the Galaxy S24 series is released in other countries. When it is Vietnam's turn, you will be notified by the system. Alternatively, you can check manually by opening the Settings app, navigating to Software Update, and selecting Download and Install.
