Two weeks ago, it was reported that Samsung had redesigned its keyboard accessories for the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 series. With the rapid development of the Galaxy AI, Samsung decided to create a dedicated Galaxy AI key for the Galaxy Tab S10 series.
Leaked renders show us the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra along with the Keyboard Cover and the Keyboard Cover (Mouse Pad). Both accessories feature a new keyboard layout with a dedicated Galaxy AI key.
Additionally, the leak tells us that at least the Keyboard Cover (Mouse Pad) will come in two color options: black and white. It is unclear whether the Keyboard Cover will have a white option.
Samsung has made some changes to the keyboard layout
When redesigning the keyboard accessory for the Galaxy Tab S10 series, Samsung had to give up an existing feature to make room for the Galaxy AI. More specifically, the company has removed the Lang key used to quickly switch keyboard languages, which was located to the right of the spacebar, to make room for the new Galaxy AI key.
Next, Samsung swapped the positions of the Galaxy AI key and the Alt key. As a result, the Alt key is now located right next to the spacebar. Meanwhile, the Galaxy AI key is closer to the arrow keys.
Other than that, there are no other changes. It's great that the dedicated Dex key continues to be located in the upper right corner.
It's still unclear what the new dedicated Galaxy AI key does. However, we'll find out soon because Samsung Vietnam has allowed users to register to receive information about the product. The Galaxy Tab S10 series only includes two products: the Galaxy Tab S10+ and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
There's also the possibility that Samsung will allow users to choose the function of the new Galaxy AI key. Either way, it's clear that the company is making the Galaxy AI more accessible than ever, especially in DeX mode.
