It is expected that some high-end Samsung Galaxy devices will have a new feature added: Car Collision Detection. This feature was first launched by Google in 2019 with Pixel 3. Then, Apple introduced a similar feature with the iPhone 14 series last year. Now, many companies have been able to include that feature in their smartphones.

Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are expected to add the Car Collision Detection feature
According to sources from Mishaal Rahman, Samsung may be researching and adding the Car Crash Detection feature on its high-end phone devices including Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Fold 5. This is a new feature expected to be included by the company in the One UI 7.0 update later this year.

Car Collision Detection works by analyzing data collected by various sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, and microphones to get sound and motion data from the smartphone. your intelligence. That data is then used to determine whether or not you've been in an accident. If so, the phone will display an option to call emergency services or to confirm if you're okay. If you don't tap anything on the screen for a few minutes, the phone will automatically contact emergency services and send them your current location. This feature is indeed useful in many cases when users are unfortunately involved in a car accident and are unable to contact the rescue team.

As mentioned above, this feature has been present on Google's Pixel smartphones since 2019. When the Car Accident Detection feature is enabled, it automatically shares the current user location with fire, medical, and police parties. Currently, we have not received any further information about this new feature on Galaxy devices. However, we hope Samsung will provide user safety protection features that are not inferior to its competitors Google and Apple.
