When Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 series, their camera system had some issues, most of which were fixed with the first software update for the series. Then another update rolled out in April that further improved the camera system. However, not all problems have been fixed. Those shortcomings are said to be addressed with an upcoming software update.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra's camera will be further improved and optimized with future updates

According to reliable tipster @UniverseIce, Samsung will release another update for the Galaxy S24 Ultra to fix the remaining camera issues, including telephoto camera quality, white balance accuracy, and Unusual red tones appearing in some outputs. However, the source said Samsung did not provide a specific timeline for the release of the upcoming update. We think it will be launched in May or June 2024, though.

With previous updates, Samsung has fixed issues related to exposure and white balance. The Galaxy S24 Ultra tends to overexpose images. Therefore, highlights and light sources lose a lot of detail. Samsung also improved image quality in low light and color accuracy when using the Expert RAW application. Text detail in zoomed images was also improved with the April 2024 update. Instant Slow Motion now supports resolution footage as low as 480px ร— 480px.

In addition, Samsung also improved the quality of photos produced from the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+. However, things are still not perfect and the company plans to completely fix the problems with several future updates. Samsung also moved to more natural color reproduction on the Galaxy S23 Ultra with the One UI 6.1 update released last week.
