Samsung has now rolled out One UI 6.1.1 to eligible devices, starting with the Galaxy S24. The company is also working on One UI 7.1, which will launch alongside the Galaxy S25 next year.

The Galaxy S25 series will ship with One UI 7.1 out of the box

While Samsung users are still expecting the next major update, One UI 7.0, later this year, the South Korean company is still working on the software for the Galaxy S25 series, which is expected to launch in January 2025. Rumors of One UI 7.1 began circulating last month, and now Samsung has taken the next step with a new beta. These betas allow Samsung to iron out software issues, ensuring that there are no glitches when the Galaxy S25 launches.

As usual, the updates will fix bugs that have been left behind from the previous version. According to the latest information, the new update for Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra was found on Samsung's server. They are codenamed respectively:

  • S931USQU0AXI2/S931UOYN0AXI2/S931USQU0AXI2
  • S936USQU0AXI2/S936UOYN0AXI2/S936USQU0AXI2
  • S938USQU0AXI2/S938UOYN0AXI2/S938USQU0AXI2

One UI 7.1 is expected to bring many major improvements in both features and interface for Galaxy S25. In addition, Samsung's next high-end product line is said to exclusively use Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor worldwide. If this information is correct, users may have to pay more if they want to buy these devices. In return, Snapdragon chips will provide faster processing speeds, stronger performance, and better optimization than Exynos chips. This could help Samsung sell more products than it currently does.
