Weeks after releasing One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5 series, Samsung has confirmed that the update will soon hit the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Tab S8 series. In addition, Galaxy AI will also land on these older products with One UI 6.1.

Today, Samsung confirmed that it will release One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Tab S8 series, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Z Fold 4 in early May 2024. It comes with features AI is listed below:

  • AI-generated wallpapers: Create text wallpapers with the help of AI.
  • Smart browser: Uses AI to summarize web pages at a custom length.
  • Smart Chat Assistant: Translate messages in real-time into your preferred language. You can use this feature with apps like Messages and WhatsApp.
  • Circle to search with Google: Draw a circle around anything on the screen to learn more about it.
  • Editing suggestions: Samsung Keyboard uses AI to correct grammar and spelling errors and provide many alternative writing styles.
  • Creative post-production: The photo editor uses AI to provide advanced features, including removing objects and adjusting image angles and alignment.
  • Live translation: Real-time language translation is possible when you're talking to someone face-to-face.
  • Interpreter Assistant: Real-time language translation for voice calls.
  • Powerful Note Assistant: Summarize and format notes in the Samsung Notes app and convert handwriting into well-formatted text.
  • Voice Recording Assistant: Record voice and automatically tag human voices with the Voice Recorder app.

Instant Slow Motion and Super HDR will not be supported on Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Tab S8 series

It appears that several new features on One UI 6.1 โ€“ including Instant Slow Motion, Super HDR, and Ambient Photo Wallpaper โ€“ will not support the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy S8 series. In other words, they will still be exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series.
