Ookla has released a report on 5G smartphone performance with the latest data, which includes the Samsung S24 series. When comparing all measured speed test results, the company found that the Galaxy S24 series surpassed the iPhone 15 in 15 countries and regions worldwide.
In France, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Nigeria, Qatar, Spain, Thailand, Philippines, UAE, UK, and the US, Galaxy S24 has faster average download and upload speeds than iPhone 15 and generation previous Galaxy phones. Meanwhile, in the Indonesia, Japan, and Korea regions, Apple's latest phones had faster average 5G performance.
Ookla started collecting data from February 1 to March 24, 2024, for the latency test. The results show that the Galaxy S24 series is better than the Galaxy S23 and the iPhone 15 series. The average download speed of the Galaxy S24 ranges from a low of 55Mbps to a high of 971Mbps, depending on the market.
