Samsung has finally confirmed that the Galaxy AI feature set will come to high-end Galaxy products in 2022 and 2021. They will be upgraded to One UI 6.1 this coming May.

However, you need to know that products launched in 2021 will only receive two AI features: Multi-purpose Search and “Magic Rewrite”. Samsung may be referring to the Smart Chat Assistant's Writing Style feature, which can change the style of messages.

Meanwhile, products launched in 2022 will experience the AI features that the Galaxy S23 FE received, which is everything except Instant Slow Motion. This feature allows you to slow down any video by holding it down and is apparently too heavy to run on Exynos and Snapdragon processors released before 2023.

According to Samsung Korea community moderators, the following are the high-end Galaxy products of 2021 and 2022 that will receive Galaxy AI along with One UI 6.1:

  • Galaxy S21 series
  • Galaxy Z Fold 3
  • Galaxy Z Flip 3
  • Galaxy S22 series
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • Galaxy Z Flip 4
  • Galaxy Tab S8 series

As for release dates, they will all be upgraded to One UI 6.1 in early May. It should be noted that this may be a timeline for the Korean market and the update may arrive elsewhere sooner or later. We will notify you as soon as the update arrives in Vietnam. So, remember to regularly follow SamCafe!
