Recently, on Geekbench, review information appeared on two products of Samsung's latest flagship line, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra. Accordingly, it seems that both Exynos and Snapdragon processor versions of this product line have been significantly optimized in recent times.

In a previous test on Geekbench, the Galaxy S24 Plus version using the Exynos 2400 chip is slower than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. However, in the latest test, the Exynos 2400 on Galaxy S24 Plus has improved when its performance is equivalent to the performance of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the old test.

Below are benchmark scores for both Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra versions in the old and latest measurements.

Old measurements:

  • Galaxy S24 Plus with Exynos 2400: 2067 points (single core) / 6520 points (multi-core)
  • Galaxy S24 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3: 2234 points (single-core) / 6807 points (multi-core)

New measurement:

  • Galaxy S24 Plus with Exynos 2400: 2193 points (single core) / 6895 points (multi-core)
  • Galaxy S24 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3: 2297 points (single-core) / 7104 points (multi-core)

It can be seen that although the Galaxy S24 Ultra running the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor is still superior to the Exynos 2400 of the Galaxy S24 Plus in this latest measurement, the Exynos 2400 version has improved a lot and is gradually shortening. gap with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.

According to the revealed list, the Exynos chip will include 8 cores with 1 3.3GHz core, 3 3.15GHz cores, 2 2.96GHz cores, and 2 2.27GHz cores, while Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has an 8-core architecture with one 3.3Hz core, five 3.2Hz cores, and two 2.3Hz cores. In both versions, Samsung applies a solution that provides two energy-efficient cores to help improve performance. However, the Snapdragon chip has a higher and more optimized clock frequency than the Exynos.

According to the leak, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor globally. The S24 and S24 Plus models are expected to use the Exynos 2400 chip in some markets and the Snapdragon chip in the rest. Those who pre-order this upcoming flagship line will receive a discount of up to 2 million VND.

Let's wait until Samsung announces the product at the Unpacked event in San Jose, California on January 17 (1 a.m. January 18, Vietnam time) to experience both versions of Samsung's powerful chip. devices as well as the groundbreaking AI features that the company is aiming for.
