Samsung will launch three watch models at the next Galaxy Unpacked event: Galaxy Watch 7 FE, Galaxy Watch 7, and Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra. Although it is the successor to the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra is much more advanced.
However, Samsung may be choosing a new name for the Galaxy Watch Ultra. According to Tech Maniacs, the name of Samsung's upcoming high-end watch model is Galaxy Watch X, not Galaxy Watch Ultra as previous leaks and rumors suggested.
In addition, the publication also said that the Galaxy Watch X will be water resistant to a depth of 100 meters and have an advertised battery life of 100 hours. For comparison, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic – Samsung's current flagship model – is water resistant to 50 meters and has an advertised battery life of 80 hours.
Battery life is extended thanks to the larger battery and the Exynos W1000
Watch Ultra 2 – Apple's flagship watch model – is also water resistant to a depth of 100 meters. However, the product's advertised battery life is only 36 hours, much less than the upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 Classic or Galaxy Watch X. So Samsung will have a huge advantage when it comes to battery life.
Galaxy Watch X will be equipped with a larger battery than Galaxy Watch 6 (578mAh compared to 573mAh). This is one of the reasons why the product has a longer battery life. The remaining factor is the Exynos W1000 - Samsung's first processor manufactured using the 3nm process.
We already know what the Galaxy Watch X will look like. Hopefully, more information about the product will leak before the launch date (July 10, 2024). Samsung will also launch the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 at this event.
