Google announced Wear OS 4 in May, and the update made its debut on Samsung's Galaxy Watch6 line which launched earlier this month.

Now, Wear OS 4 is being rolled out by Samsung to its older smartwatch models, starting with the Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro.

Accordingly, Samsung has begun rolling out Wear OS 4 through the "One UI 5 Watch" update on Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro in the US. Updates carry firmware numbers ending in BWH3 and are based on Android 13.

This update includes features that focus on convenience and safety. Users can easily control connected Galaxy Buds and use widgets to monitor battery levels across multiple devices.

Not only that, One UI 5 Watch also offers the ability to switch paired phones without needing to perform a factory reset. It is known that watches running older versions of Wear OS are forced to restore factory settings before they can connect to new phones. However, with the newly released One UI Watch 5 Beta version, it was discovered that Samsung has provided a new easier phone connection feature.
