In early March, it was reported that Samsung was developing a new smartphone model in the M series. It is the Galaxy M35, a low-cost version of the Galaxy A35 that was launched last week. However, that is just the initial source and we do not have specific information about the existence of this device.
As of yesterday, a new Samsung smartphone bearing model number SM-M356B was spotted on Geekbench. Based on the model number, this appears to be the Galaxy M35 and this discovery is the first evidence that the phone model exists. It is worth mentioning that it also reveals the technical specifications available on the device.
On the Geekbench platform, the Galaxy M35 will have a motherboard with model number s5e8835. It is powered by the Exynos 1380 processor, which is the chip being used on the Galaxy A35. The listing also reveals that the phone has 6GB RAM. That could be one of the device's memory configurations and it runs on Android 14 (One UI 6.0 or One UI 6.1).
For now, this is all the reliable information we have received. Except that the Galaxy M35 does not have a larger battery and meets the IP rating for dust and water resistance, hopefully, it will still have the same features as the Galaxy A35.
