Samsung has released the October 2024 security update for the Galaxy A55. This has improved the security of the product.

The update has been rolling out in several Asian countries since October 11 and can be identified by the baseband version A556EXXS5AXI4.

Like other Galaxy phones that have received the October 2024 software update, the Galaxy A55 does not add any new features. This update is only intended to patch security vulnerabilities that have been found.

More specifically, the October 2024 security update fixes 30 vulnerabilities in the Android operating system and 12 vulnerabilities that only affect Galaxy devices. There is also a patch for Galaxy phones and watches running certain Exynos processors.

To manually download the latest update for your Galaxy A55, navigate to Settings app โ†’ Software update โ†’ Download and install. You can also wait until your phone notifies you that a new update is available.
