In the recently released One UI 7 Beta 3 update, Samsung has made notable changes related to the Now Bar - a feature considered the "Dynamic Island" of the Galaxy ecosystem. However, this change has disappointed many users because many Live Notifications options have been removed.
Before the update, the Now Bar supported live notifications from many applications such as Clock, Emergency Sharing, Bixby, Samsung Health, Voice Recorder, Samsung Notes, and Maps. But after the latest update, this list only has Clock, Interprete,r, and Emergency Sharing.
A One UI 7 Beta user posted a complaint on the Samsung community forum in the US about the loss of familiar notification options. In response to this issue, a Samsung beta program administrator said the change was an "intentional improvement".
However, Samsung also reassured that the removed features will return in the official release after being optimized. The representative emphasized that the Now Bar is still in the process of being refined and will be completed before the stable version of One UI 7 is released.
One UI 7 is expected to officially launch with the Galaxy S25 series later this month. Older Galaxy devices will likely receive the update in February 2025.
