The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 have started receiving the October 2024 security update in select countries. Specifically, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is receiving the update in Europe, while the update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has been released in both Europe and the US.

The October 2024 security update has also been rolled out to the Galaxy Z Flip 5. So, we expect the Galaxy Z Flip 6 to get it soon as well. Usually, newer phones like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 get priority, but not this time. It's possible that Google has messed up Samsung's update release schedule.

The October update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has the baseband version F956BXXS1AXI3 or F956USQS1AXIB depending on where you live. Meanwhile, the update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 can be identified by the baseband version F946BXXS3DXI9. This update is nothing exciting, just including the October 2024 security patches.

To download the latest update for your Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Galaxy Z Fold 6, navigate to the Settings app โ†’ Software update โ†’ Download and install.
