Have you ever felt the need to temporarily delete a few apps or games to free up space on your Galaxy device? For that, Google introduced cloud-based App Storage with Android 15.

One UI 7.0 can free up space on your Galaxy phone with App Storage

The first beta of One UI 7.0 supports Android 15’s App Storage. This feature allows you to temporarily delete an app, but it doesn’t delete your data associated with that app.

So you won’t lose your data when you temporarily delete an app or game from your Galaxy device to free up space. The app will be stored in the cloud. When you’re ready to reinstall the app, your personal data will remain intact and you won’t need to log in to the app again.

In addition to app stores, Android phone, and tablet manufacturers will also need to support App Storage for this feature to be available to users. In One UI 7.0, both the Google Play Store and the Galaxy Store support App Storage.

This feature will be available on more Galaxy phones and tablets with the stable release of One UI 7.0 early next year.
