If you're a longtime Galaxy phone user, you've probably experienced the annoyance of running out of battery and getting your screen super dark.
This annoying behavior has been present on Galaxy phones for a long time. Whenever the battery level drops to 5%, the screen brightness drops significantly, to the point where users can't see anything, especially when they're outdoors during the day. At that point, you have to try to turn the brightness back up using the Quick Panel.
With One UI 7.0, this annoying behavior can be disabled. You can find this option in the Battery section of the Settings app.
This is one of many small but significant changes to the One UI 7.0 user experience. Currently, you can only experience One UI 7.0 on the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24 series, but the update will be released more widely this quarter, at least for the high-end Galaxy products.
