Those using Good Lock – especially the Edge Lighting+ module – will be happy to see the stable release of One UI 7.0. Yesterday, the Good Lock content manager in Samsung’s official Community confirmed that the core Edge Lighting and Edge Lighting+ features have compatibility issues that Samsung will address with One UI 7.0.
Currently, Edge Lighting stops working whenever users enable Edge Lighting+. Both cannot work at the same time.
Fortunately, the Good Lock content manager confirmed that this issue is “planned for improvement in One UI 7.0”. After updating their devices to One UI 7.0, users will be able to combine the Edge Lighting and Edge Lighting+ effects together without facing compatibility issues.
Samsung’s official One UI 7 website says that the goal of the update is to improve the user experience with more stylish and intuitive features.
Samsung also talked about Good Lock and One UI 7 at SDC 2024 in October, giving us hope that the “ultimate freedom and personalization” platform Good Lock could land in more markets once One UI 7.0 is released.
