After a long wait, Samsung has officially released the One UI 6.1.1 update for the Galaxy S24 series. Currently, only users in Korea are receiving the update, but it will also be available in other markets in the next few days.
The One UI 6.1.1 update for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in Korea is codenamed S92xNKSU3AXH7, weighs 2.8GB, and comes with the September 2024 security patch. Notably, it is still called One UI 6.1.1 because the One UI x.1.1 version is only for Galaxy foldable phones and tablets.
What's new in the One UI 6.1.1 update for the Galaxy S24 series?
As expected, One UI 6.1.1 brings to the Galaxy S24 series new AI features we saw on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 like βSmart Sketch,β which lets you turn simple sketches into stunning works of art. The feature is available in multiple apps like Samsung Notes, Photo Editor, Air Command, Smart Select, and Edge Panel.
The update also adds Portrait Enhancements, which leverages AI to create unique photos of yourself. The Samsung Keyboard has also been upgraded to make writing easier by auto-completing text based on input and specific scenarios.
Real-time Translation now supports calls in apps like Google Meet, WhatsApp, and KakaoTalk and is accessible via Live Interpreter in Quick Settings. You can also translate text in images directly on Samsung Internet.
In addition, One UI 6.1.1 for Galaxy S24 also improves PDF file management with the Summarize and Translate feature, allowing you to work directly with PDF files without converting them to another format. The Language Detection feature automatically converts recorded speech into text so you can edit or delete parts of the recording as needed.
Finally, the Photo Ambient feature lets you use wallpapers that change based on the weather and real time.
